I'm thrilled and privileged that I got to experience labor.
It was strangely beautiful and I was so in the zone throughout the whole experience. The practice that I shared with you in your class was so amazingly helpful in keeping me centered and calm, the postures really helped me get through those contractions, And let me tell you, I was the squatting queen!
Thank you Kristen, for being such an amazing support on this journey. You truly are a special teacher and spirit & are the kind of yoga teacher that literally transforms the air and energy in the room. You create a truly honest, sacred, and inspired experience, what yoga is supposed to be.
You have such extensive knowledge and infectious passion for your work and for life, what a lovely gift to women you are!

I was planning on coming to class last Monday, but woke up feeling extra tired and was getting Braxton-Hicks so I didn't make it. Later that evening, contractions were getting closer together and I was admitted at 11pm. 12 hours later and with 3 pushes, Baby J.R. was anxious & entered this world 3 1/2 weeks earlier than expected via VBAC! He was 7.4 lbs @ 21". I did it and it was the best decision I've made for myself, baby, and delivery experience. I want to thank you (and all the moms) for giving me the strength and courage to stay committed to my decision despite the little support I received outside of your class. It was an experience I'll never forget. We're recovering and transitioning well!!

Kristen was a part of all three of my pregnancies.
When I first walked in to Kristen's studio, I knew this was the place for me and my first son to grow together and we did! Kristen's voice, guidance, the poses and meditations she led us through, her gentleness and knowledge of our journey always brought me comfort. Her yoga classes really do strengthen and stretch your body, mind and soul. No matter what was happening in my world I could be alone with my baby and myself (with these other wonderful women) and be present.
Because my second delivery was a C section, I assumed that my 3rd would be as well. I hoped to have a V-BAC, but was very nervous for a variety of emotional and medical reasons.
Almost like a miracle, I found out that Kristen had just become a doula and so lucky for me, she would be our doula! Quite frankly, I would have loved to have Kristen at all of my deliveries, because as wonderful as a husband is, there is something so special about having a loving centered woman by your side. It was a dream come true and so was my labor.
The day before I delivered, Kristen came to my house and we had the most beautiful little yoga session with my children and husband. It was a little welcoming session for the new baby.
The next morning we all met at the hospital. Kristen led us in a meditation as I lay in my husband's arms and the baby responded with contractions. Another miracle. Kristen was there for every wonderful contraction and it really was wonderful. My baby and I moved together and he descended as I rolled my hips with him inside. He was born in 3 pushes.
Kristen is like a sister, mother and Angel all rolled up in one beautiful package. She is strong and gentle. She offers guidance, mantras, songs and meditations that are wise and simple. She is fully and whole heartedly and lovingly present in everything she does. She is a gift and I'm so happy that you might have the opportunity to have her on your journey as well!

This journey is endless - in time and all directions. You are already enriching my life in so many ways. It's not by mere coincidence that we've met, and I am very glad of it. Coming to your class, having a brand new experience each and every time, being lifted and "sidewayed" to a different plateau. All this leaves me feeling safe, with a deep sense of well being, knowing this is a genuine & deep experience you have made possible.
Thank you,
Batia
Hi Kristen! I did your video religiously throughout my pregnancy. It felt like every posture hit just the right spots! I had a comfortable pregnancy and was also able to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight pretty quickly. I'm sure it had a lot to do with the video (and breastfeeding too:) !
Best, Lesley

Hi Kristen!
First of all today's Class today was amaaaaaaazing! Second of all when my sister in law and I got to the car, we both had a missed call from our husbands! And they were the ones we were thinking about during the "experiment". Insane! U truly amaze me every time. Xo thanks for ALWAYS being such a positive influence on all of us and teaching us to channel our inner amazingness. ❤

My water broke last Saturday night at 2:30 but didn't get contractions until Sunday. Stayed at home but labor kept stalling. Went to Kaiser midnight on Monday - they left me alone for a bit but starting pushing C-Section on Tuesday morning. Had to fight for VBAC for another 24 hours. Pushed him out 7:36 am Wednesday morning - 79 hours after my water broke. 8lbs 6 oz 22 inches, Mason is here. Thank you for all of your support, I count you as one of the people that gave me the strength to fight for the VBAC.
